The majority of infrastructure projects in the Netherlands are run by Rijkswaterstaat. As a client, they have developed their own specific project management method: System-Oriented Contract Management (Systeemgerichte Contract Beheersing or SCB). As a contractor, you are obliged to work on the basis of this system.
Total understanding of SCB
SCB is almost always used in combination with UAV-GC contract conditions. In addition, systems engineering (SE) is typically selected for managing and securing the design process. The contract manager monitors the commercial position. In order to meet this core task, there must be a total understanding of the entire system of the combination of these three methods. The learning objectives of the system-oriented contract management training are:
- Gain an insight into the applications of SCB and SE
- Gain awareness of opportunities and risks of UAV-GC
- Learn more about changes, extensions and liabilities based on SCB, UAV-GC, SE
